IROKO Edutainment Project 2007–2008
National Touring Programme
IROKO Theatre Company is proud to announce that it has received funding from the Arts Council England towards its Edutainment Project 2007 - 2008.
The funding will enable the company to devise and hold performances based on a metaphorical African myth, “The Sacred River”.
Also to be held are Workshops in traditional African oral storytelling performance techniques, drama, music and dance.
The aim of the project is to help stimulate interest and participation in the arts, especially amongst those disadvantaged by their demographic and geographical locations and have little or no access to African arts in particular.
