IROKO Family Edutainment Project funded by the BIG Lottery under its Family Learning Programme will enable parents, grand parents and children aged 5 - 16 living in the boroughs of Barking and Dagenham and Redbridge to participate in workshops exploring traditional African oral storytelling, Tie & Dye and Clay Modelling techniques.

The target group is families with English as a second language or who may have had negative experiences of education and are in need of a different approach to learning or acquiring life skills in a fun, relaxed and a non-judgemental environment.

The four year project (2009 - 2013) will lead to exhibitions and showcase performances at the end of each year.
